Overview

From May 2022 to August 2023, I worked as a UX Product Designer on Apple’s WW Digital Channel team in Cupertino. I contributed to the design and rollout of the Apple Premium Partner (APP) program, a global eCommerce initiative that elevates how third-party merchants represent Apple products online.

The program’s goal was clear: create a uniform, premium digital shopping experience across 90+ countries. It had to align with Apple’s global brand standards while remaining adaptable to local markets, technical environments, and cultural nuances.

My Role

I focused on CX and visual design for front-end partner experiences across desktop and mobile. My contributions included:

  • Designing and maintaining scalable UI components and systems in Figma
  • Supporting localization for markets across Europe, LATAM, APAC, and MENA
  • Collaborating with Apple’s internal teams (Marcom, UX, Product Management) and external agencies to ensure alignment
  • Refining internal documentation to help external partners implement Apple-quality experiences
  • Assisting QA and rollout teams to validate execution at scale

Design Challenges

  • Brand Alignment — Delivering Apple’s premium experience inside third-party retail platforms with varying limitations
  • Localization — Balancing a consistent global standard with local market needs
  • Flexibility & Cohesion — Giving merchandising and sales partners tools flexible enough for commerce, but cohesive enough to remain “Apple”
  • Technical Constraints — Navigating legacy systems, regional CMS setups, and rollout dependencies

  • Built responsive, reusable components in Figma and contributed to design system foundations
  • Provided design support and localization across dozens of markets
  • Improved internal documentation used by global partner agencies
  • Collaborated across functions to align design with merchandising, CX, and performance tracking

Outcome

The Apple Premium Partner program was successfully launched across a wide network of third-party merchants, establishing a consistent and elevated Apple shopping experience worldwide.

While performance data remains internal, the program is now live across LATAM, Europe, APAC, and MENA, giving customers a seamless, customer-first journey that reflects Apple’s global design DNA.
